The weekly column of our Chairman, Paul Welsh, continues to inform and delight readers of the weekly Borehamwood and Elstree Times with tales of times remembered. Many of these articles can be found on-line at the newspaper’s web site. From time to time other articles appear featuring our specific projects. |

We have an active programme of publications, working with local residents to record in words and in pictures their memories of film and television in Elstree and Borehamwood. In August 2005 we wrote a souvenir magazine called “Britain’s Hollywood” which was published by Newsquest Newspapers Group. Early in 2006 we published “Remembering The Gate Studios” as an example of our work to build a record of The Gate Studios through video-recorded interviews, photos and documents, all contained in a DVD. We hope to publish a more comprehensive record of the Gate Studios, perhaps next year. Earlier this year we prepared a booklet describing the 20 plaques which celebrate the contributions of 20 studios or individuals to creating our unique local legacy of film and TV-making. If you have a story which you would like us to help tell, why not contact us ? |
