Displays We regularly create displays on the growth of the film and television industry in Elstree and Borehamwood, covering key events in the history of the film and television studios as well as current productions. For further details see Current Displays , Past Displays and Projects ( includes Planned Displays )
Collection and Archives We have a growing collection on local film and TV, including photographs, oral interviews, objects and documents.
Almost all of the material in the collection has been donated or loaned by local residents. We guarantee that any photos you lend us will be scanned and returned within 3 working days. Should you wish to donate material we will store it safely and it will be available to you for viewing upon request.
We have the support of the National Museum of Photography, Film and Television and the Museum of London. If you wish we can put you in touch with their experts.
Education We are working on several projects with Hertswood School.
We can also organise a visit to your group, with formal presentations on various aspects of the local film and television heritage. Students and teachers can arrange access to our growing archive to support their project work.
As a voluntary community group, our services are free.
Publication We have an active programme of publications, working with local residents, past and present, to record in words and pictures their memories of the Elstree studios. |
